Art Buffs Interfaith Connection Field Trip

It was a pleasant surprise to find out that all the TAC interns and some friends would have the opportunity to take a field trip to the St. Ignatious Church. We were also able to look at, observe, and reflect upon some art pieces that were in display, which was an unusual and exciting opportunity. (Being able to observe a gallery in a church). Especially since many of us had never been to or around St. Ignatious.
This church is a church on the campus of the University of San Francisco. It serves as a parish of the Catholic Archidocese of San Francisco in addition to being the university's chapel.
The TACS enjoyed a tour of the church, a particially guided discussion and picinc on the beautiful grass, and a chance to write haiku-like poetry about the intriguing artwork. After this we took a the winding, tiring, and exhilarating walk up to the bell tower. Here we took breathtaking pictures and enjoyed the view. Before we knew it it was time to head back down the stairs. We shared our favorite poems, and felt the inspiration around us.
